We are proposing to redevelop the old Lister House site in Staple Tye into new housing.
What is the work?
We are building 46 apartments, at least 30% will be affordable housing.
Why is the work needed?
The existing Lister House has moved to a new site on Abercrombie Way.
The new homes will help meet the increasing demand for housing in Harlow.
This building will hopefully be the catalyst for improvement throughout the whole of Staple Tye.

Pre-planning public consultation was carried out in May 2018 for local residents and retailers.
Further drop-in consultation events took place in June 2018 at the Civic Centre.
Planning permission was granted on 21 December 2018 (HW/FUL/18/00298).
We have appointed Kyle Smart Associates Ltd as the architect and Faithful & Gould as the consultant.
Work is due to start in early 2020.
The work is expected to be completed early to mid 2021.
Impact on residents
During construction there will be limited disruption to local residents and road users of Southern Way and Perry Road. However, we will look to keep this to a minimum and keep our neighbours informed, where we can.
We will ensure the contractor is a member of the Considerate Construction Scheme
